Biomedical Zone Executive Director Dr. Linda Maxwell named a WXN 2016 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner
The Biomedical Zone’s top executive joins community of Canada’s most iconic women leaders
TORONTO, ON (November 23, 2016) –– The Biomedical Zone, a partnership between Ryerson University and St. Michael’s Hospital, is pleased to announce Dr. Linda Maxwell, Executive Director, has been named a Women’s Executive Network (WXN) 2016 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner.
Launched in 2003, the Top 100 Awards celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Canada’s top female executive talent as well as their organizations and networks. Dr. Maxwell, who will receive the Sun Life Financial Award for Trailblazers and Trendsetters, will be honoured during a gala celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on November 24.
Dr. Maxwell, a practicing surgeon, joined The Biomedical Zone and Ryerson University as the Founding Director and Distinguished Visiting Professor in 2015 and since then has had a profound impact by architecting and developing the Biomedical Zone into a leading biomedical and health-focused business incubator.
